C-2 (Bolla) Establish Clay Today and My Clay Sun (Florida Times-Union) as the official publications for required School Board advertising
Issue/Rationale
In accordance with Florida Statutes, the School Board is required to advertise in a newspaper of general circulation. This item is being brought to the Board due to the closure of the Clay Leader.
Although the Clay Today will be more cost effective, the circulation of the My Clay Sun is much greater. To allow for flexibility, we are recommending the use of both newspapers. The Clay Today will be used for routine advertisements and the My Clay Sun will be used for those advertisements that require the greater circulation.
Recommended Action
Approve the Clay Today and the My Clay Sun (Florida Times-Union) as official publications for required School Board advertising.
